The Maxus is a van produced by LDV (formerly Leyland DAF Vans). It was originally launched in late 2004. The LDV Maxus model was joint venture developed by LDV and Daewoo produced at the LDV site in Birmingham.
Since its launch in 2005, the LDV Maxus has received excellent reviews and has sold well across the UK. The LDV Maxus van is being used as fleet vehicles by companies such as Royal Mail and Transco. The Maxus van has also become very popular in the hire market.
Not long after its launch in 2005, the LDV Maxus was awarded "Van of the Year 2005" by the Professional Van and Light Truck Magazine. It has also since won further awards including "Van of the Year", "Combi of the Year" and "Minibus of the Year”.
LDV claim the Maxus van is cheaper to run than the Iveco Daily, Ford Transit or Mercedes Sprinter vans.
The LDV Maxus is currently available in the following models:
* Short wheel base
* Long wheel base
* Platinum
* Crew Van
* Special Vehicle Operations - used by the Police, Ambulance service and Fire Tender to name a few.
If you want loadspace, the LDV Maxus van has a choice of two wheel base lengths, three roof heights and is available in three vehicle weights of 2.8, 3.2 or 3.5 tonnes.
If you want payload, the LDV Maxus vans have various payloads to match your requirements. The MAXUS van can carry a payload of up to 1616KG.
If you want performance, the LDV MAXUS vans have a highly efficient 2.5 CDi engine in a choice of 95PS, 120PS or 135PS all have high torque at low speed.
If you want comfort and safety from the LDV MAXUS, it is functional, yet stylish and offers you even more standard equipment. It comes equipped with electric windows, MP3 radio /CD player, height adjustable drivers seat, heated mirrors, power assisted steering, ABS and EBD.
