Online Car Insurance Companies Suffering

Car insurance websites over this past year must have taken a real battering.

With the introduction of new age car insurance websites such as Elephant, Confused and Insure Supermarket, the average car insurance company has probably suffered.  This will be due to the ever increasing amount of people visiting these new age sites due to heavy advertising on television in peak periods.

If the car insurance company website is not the cheapest (remember cheapest is not always the best!) then the customer will usually overlook them and dive right to the top of the list to the cheapest car insurance company.

I would guess that the car insurance companies subscribing to these new age sites will still be paying a finders fee to them to display their quotes in long lists against their competitors. Surely this must be making the more expensive companies really suffer as again I would imagine they're not getting the business.
