Many of those that have considered using an electric car have been discouraged due to the technology still being relatively new meaning that the performance output of the vehicles are limited.
In many of the current models available you will be restricted in the distance that you can travel before the car will need charging. This appears as an inconvenience to the general public as the alternative is to use a petrol or diesel car that can easily be refilled.
A counter argument to this is that the average driver that travels an average of £40 miles per day will have fuel cost of around £300 whereas the same distance travelled in an electric car will cost around £25.
