I’m not sure if I have written on this here before but there is certainly cause to do so in relation to young drivers car insurance now – fronting. Fronting is effectively taking out a policy on a car that is not yours to achieve lower car insurance premiums and this is especially a problem in the realms of young drivers car insurance. After all, young drivers’ premiums are extortionate in some cases and this can save a lot of money… but it can also cost a lot because it is thoroughly illegal.
Apparently, one car insurance provider has uncovered widespread fronting on its books and intends to take action against those caught doing so. As such, if you are currently doing it then now is the time to remedy it because action will shortly be taken and the premiums are nothing compared to the fines and jail time for fraud that you could get.

Research that was released a few days ago has apparently uncovered the fact that women are far more concerned about their car insurance covering lock replacement should the keys be lost or stolen than men. This should come as no surprise to all women with womens car insurance because it is often one of the policy features that womens car insurance providers stress on their advertising. However, it may come as a surprise to know that 24% of policies do not cover lock replacement in the case of lost or stolen keys at all.
The moral of this story is to read all small print before you take on any form of womens car insurance because that will tell you what you can claim for. Most policies only cover the main locks but some also cover extra locks, such as the vehicle lock transmitter and central locking interface or the immobiliser. The more locks cover you have, the better!

In the past few days, I’ve written a few posts on England, the World Cup and car insurance but this one is perhaps the most important for young drivers insurance premiums and, in fact, young drivers’s licenses as well. It is a well known fact that any infringement shortly after passing your test could lead to your license being revoked. However, if you have been passed a couple of years then you should still steer clear of problems if you want your young drivers car insurance to remain at the present levels.
The one and only point to make here is that you should never drink and drive. This is especially important today given the police will be pulling cars over after World Cup games and performing routine checks. Even a drop of alcohol may be too much so avoid drinking and driving at all costs.

Home insurance is necessary for all individuals with a house. It is as simple as that. It does not matter whether you have a job or not, you need home insurance to be able to get back on your feet if anything happened to your home. However, if you do happen to be unemployed then you will not be happy with the revelation offered by a recent study – the unemployed are often made to pay more for their home insurance.
Apparently, according to the survey, a number of insurance providers have been factoring in the likelihood of individuals defaulting on their premiums and have been charging more for those that they believe are more likely to skip a few payments. There are one or two that bucked the trend and offered discounts instead but they were in the minority. As such, if you are unemployed then you may like to look around to see where you can get the best deal.

Motorbike insurance is much like car insurance in that it comes in many different shapes and sizes. There is comprehensive insurance, third party, various add ons and all manner of extras in there. Of course, this all depends on the different insurers that you choose to look at because different insurers will have different features. However, if you want to ride your bike anywhere but the road you may not be insured under any of the motorbike insurance options you look at.
Off road scrambling is a rush and many bikers love to do it every now and again but only select policies actually cover off road activities because it is much more dangerous and the likelihood is that the bike will get a little damaged, or even totalled if you hit a particularly rough patch of the road. Make sure that your cover is comprehensive and covers wherever you choose to take your bike before you ride it.

Passing your driving test is one of the best days in a young driver’s life. It brings a sense of freedom and responsibility that is hard to beat when you are 17 or 18. The problem is though that you may actually have to pay more for your young drivers insurance after you pass your test. Yup, a recent survey revealed that young drivers car insurance premiums go up after a 17 or 18 year old passes his or her test.
There is one major reason for this and that is the fact that learners have to have parental or experienced supervision in order to be on the road. Failing to do so voids the insurance. Those drivers that have passed their tests can legally go out onto the road as and when they like with nobody to supervise. As such, when you pass, you will need to seek other competitive discounts to bring your premiums down

Did you know that driving in Europe this summer could cost you your cheap car insurance premiums? Most drivers do not realise that they are putting their low premiums in jeopardy because most drivers have absolutely no idea what the rules of the road are in various countries on the continent. As a result so many police forces are having a field day.
Did you know that a GB sticker is a legal requirement on your car should you choose to take it abroad? A third of drivers thought it was acceptable to leave it off. 40% of all drivers thought it was OK to jump a red light in Italy. 37% of drivers thought it was OK to overtake drivers in Portugal on either side when only the left is legal. The moral of the story is to make sure that you familiarise yourself with the laws of the roads you will be driving on in advance to preserve your cheap car insurance.

Summer is finally here! That big yellow ball that we barely see is finally back and it is definitely shorts weather outside… if sticky and uncomfortable weather to sleep in and to return home to after a hard day’s work. You know that feeling – you open the front door only to be greeted by a torrent of warm air. Well, as uncomfortable as it may be, warm air is better than a house that has been ripped apart because you chose to leave the windows open and risk your home insurance.
Leaving windows open when you are out all day is not a good idea at all but leaving those that are easily accessible on the ground floor or are directly above a platform that could be used to climb in is not a good idea. Do not risk claiming on your home insurance. A few moments of discomfort are better than the feeling of being violated from a break in that could easily have been prevented.
