The Yamaha XT125R is underpowered compared to the DT125 by a few bhp which makes a big difference when you only have 12.5 in the first place. That said, the light weight at 111kg of the XT125R does help considerably to push the bike along nicely. If the limit of 15bhp was applied to the motor it would be so much more fun. Handling is pretty good, riding position comfortable so long as you are not going long-haul. The bars can bend if the bike is dropped so be careful of that.
