The Suzuki GSF650 Bandit is now the great all-round bike that it wanted to be. Well up there with the competition the 2009 model really stands out from the crowd. Now fuel injected and water-cooled, the 2009 engine is ultimately smooth with more than enough fast, responsive power through to 12,000rpm. Suzuki have adjusted the suspension setup from the 2007 model, stiffening up the back and softening up the front. It is not an out and out sportsbike but it was never intended to be, however it is very quick, easy to ride (especially when touring) and the screen takes the wind right over you at the higher speeds. The 2009 S version comes with a great looking nose fairing. The naked GSF650 has a slightly more modern front light which is styled really well. Both versions now feature black motors, new exhaust silencers, better clocks and a newly designed rear light setup. There is an ABS option which does the job nicely too for the money. At around £5500 for the faired version and £500 less for the naked version, Suzuki have given riders two excellent options that are extremely durable, reliable, fun and long lasting.
