Manufactured between 1996 and 2003, the TVR Cerbera is one in a long list of TVR sports cars that are situated firmly in car insurance group 20 so you may want to heed this warning before reading on. If you are considering the purchase of a TVR Cerbera then check out the expensive premiums you will have to pay in advance. You can compare policies through the 90 providers available via Powerseeker right now to see exactly what the best price available is.
Right, now the warning is out of the way, you can begin to drool because the TVR Cerbera is one of the sexiest cars you will ever see. It is a hard top with 2+2 seats and has a TVR engine so it is very different to the Griffith and Chimaera, its predecessors. However, although the aesthetic appeal may tick a few boxes for you, it pales into insignificance when we start thinking about the power it offers.
The power of the TVR Cerbera is immense. Correction - the power of the TVR Cerbera is immense in all three models available. The Speed Six 4.0L model was introduced later than the 4.2L model and is the least powerful of the three but it still achieves 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds, has a top speed of 170mph and an output of 350hp from its straight 6 DOHC 24v engine. The 4.2L model has a V8 16v engine with an output of 360hp, a top speed of 185mph and achieves 0-60mph in just 4.2 seconds. The third option is the 4.5L model, which has a 4475cc V8 16v engine with a power output of 420hp, a top speed of 195mph and achieves 0-60mph in... (drumroll please)... an impressive 3.9 seconds. Yes, the TVR Cerbera is breathtaking!
As per usual with TVR models, there is a distinct lack of safety features with the usual absence of ABS, airbags and various other features that usually come as standard but speed freaks will not really mind about that at all. Although it puts up the insurance premiums a little, it does not affect the performance in any way so all boxes remain checked!
Car Insurance quotes for the TVR Cerbera: Third Party, Third Party Fire & Theft and Fully Comprehensive Policies
